How to start a ROMEO Club in your area
Find a meeting place, such as a coffee shop, restaurant, or other appropriate location. Select a meeting time that would convenient for most retired men. Then put an advertisement in the community section of your local news paper (usually it is a free listing for clubs & organizations) that reads something like this: The Romeo Club (Retired Old Men Eating Out) is looking for new members. We meet at (state time) a.m./p. m. every (state day of week/month) at the selected location. Come join in the fun. Call for location or more information, your name and phone number. Next contact the location to set up the meeting where you can meet at, that will give the group separate checks and the rest will happen on its own. Once the group is established, send us your information and pictures so we can publish the clubs web page. go to www.romeoclub.org.
How to find a ROMEO Club near you
There are many ROMEO Clubs that are associated with Church groups, National Organizations & Clubs, City Senior Centers, Homeowners Associations, Labor & worker Groups, etc. These establishments usually have their own website and the ROMEO group that is associated with them share a webpage on the establishments main website. Therefore you will not find a page for them on our website, although we try to find them and put links to their webpage or listing. That being the case, you can search the internet as follows:
In the Google or other search engine’s search box type in the words: romeo club “retired old men” (your city state) this will bring up a short list of possible clubs or some information to search further. Another approach is to check notices in the local newspaper. Look at the coming events and meetings section or the clubs and organizations section. If you can't find one, Go for it, and start your own club. see our website http://www.romeoclub.org/
